  • Hi! Just checking out Xanga again...    I really miss xanga and people actually saying something about themselves and their day.  Oh, My Space never really caught on with me.  Now I have a facebook, but it is mostly gossip.  Like the good ol days of letter writing are gone and now no one knows how to do anything but pop a phrase to someone on facebook or by text.  How sad.  No depth to writing or to people any more.  Let's bring it back!!

  • Me and shoulder pain and the middle of the night....we are going to have to stop meeting like this!  I want to enjoy life again. It seems that so much joy is robbed from those around me that nothing I do can take their minds off pain.    And we all have a lot of it right now.  I have physical pain, but most everyone I love is experiencing emotional and spiritual pain.  I can pray, but like everyone else, I wish I could hurry up God and see results.  Which only puts me in line for need of God's patience.  How do we get patience?  We are tried and tried some more.  Sometimes it seems like a vicious cycle.  Lord, help me endure the pain and put a smile on some of those faces around me as well as my own.

  • Wow!!  How things change when you aren't around for a while.  Xanga sure has changed.  Now I need to learn to use it all over again.  Technology changes too quickly for those of us who are over 29.  Lol.

  • Well......it has just about been forever since I wrote anything on here.  Some strange things have been happening lately.  Yesterday, I woke up and came through the house and heard a honking noise on the front porch.  I thought it sounded like a goose and was afraid it might be a Canadian goose.  I looked out the window and it was ...3 peacocks!!!!!!!   They stayed and took a nap on the railing on the side porch and walked around the porch a while and then walked over to the next door neighbor's house.  No one else was at home to see them.   Life is strange here.  The eastern phoebe's nest over my side porch door is finally empty.  The babies have hatched and now the guardian parent birds no longer sit on the rails all day.  I can't water my plants because the birds are all nesting in them.  I hate to run cold water on their little eggs.  So I let my plants die instead.  Today, I found 3 pieces of uncooked bacon in my mailbox.  It seems the mailman had already reported a similar prank in the neighborhood, fish in another mailbox.  Oh, would I love to find out who did it!!  I have also seen those pink flamingos in a neighbor's yard today, about 30 of them.    Between the moles, the voles, the groundhogs, and all the other critters, I believe I must live in a zoo.  I wonder what's next?????

  • Oh, so much happens that I don't get written down.  A friend's husband died too young.  Helping friends in crisis.  Hosting missionaries during Missions Week at church.  About 21 people coming for dinner tonight.  Wish I were ready, but now it's off to the dentist, again, to have a temporary crown replaced with a permanent one.  Don't you wish you were me today??????  Really, don't ya??

By the way, there are some really FAT robins running around my yard.  I don't think they can fly, ....THAT fat!!!!
